This was a perfect hotel for me, the location could not have been better. The reviews were good and it was right across the street from the main train station. The check in staff was great and my room was clean and comfortable, what more could you want. I had a room over looking the train station and when I closed my window there was very little traffic noise. The hotel has a very good breakfast offering and they carry about everything you could want. The location also allowed me to easily walk to the Marienplatz and to some tour offices. Also I took the Lufthansa bus to the airport and the stop was right by the train station, but I learned it is easier to take the train since it goes right to Terminal 1. This hotel has everything you could want for a stay in Munich.

The Marriott Aloft was just ok. My biggest gripe with the hotel, is that they increased their rate without warning. We stayed there on Friday 12/01/2023. We were supposed to leave the next day, but a major snow storm hit Munich and all the trains were cancelled. The hotel did not have any vacancies for another night's stay. But we were told by the desk clerk that rooms would eventually open up; because people could not get into the city. We sat in the lounge for 5 hours. Finally at 7pm that night, we were told we could have our same room back. But the rate went from $150 to $400! Supply and demand said the manager. If I had been told of this, I would have looked hours before, for another hotel!

Aloft Munich’s location is just across the train station . Perfect . Nearby shops and restaurants . Walking distance to Marienplatz . Rooms are spacious for a couple . And staff are extremely friendly .You can’t go wrong staying here . Highly recommend .

A Great Place To Stay In Munich!

I spent one night at the Aloft hotel as I had an early train from Munich and the hotel is directly across from the station. It turned out to be an excellent hotel. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. The bed was incredible and the WiFi was really strong. There is no restaurant for dinner but there is a place right next door or you can do as I did and use Lieferando. There is a nice Gym in the hotel, a Grab N Go market in the hotel for drinks, etc. There is also a bar that serves really nice cocktails. Breakfast was fantastic with a wide range of choices. Highly reccomended!

I think I was on level 5 overlooking the Hauptbahnhof. They initially gave me a room on level 1 where I felt the people waiting for trams (tram stop right outside the entrance) could see right into my room! The double glazing was very good cutting out all road, tram and train noise however NOTHING stops the noise of sirens and there is a hospital very close by! Take some good ear plugs! Nice room.
